Japan's Marubeni acquires 25.1% stake in offshore wind services provider Windward Offshore
Windward Offshore, which has a fleet of four CSOV vessels under construction at VARD, has partnered with Marubeni months after securing a senior credit facility of up to €182 million (US$196 million)
The sale of Marubeni's stake has raised new capital to fund Windward's future growth. Marubeni already has a strong presence in the global energy sector and is a developer of offshore wind projects in Europe and Japan.
