CREW SAFETY is a service developed by CREW ARIA to help seafarers check contacts for possible fraud reports within the maritime industry.
Before sending your CV, personal documents or applying for a job, you can check a phone number, email address, Telegram account or other contact details of an employer, crewing agency or recruiter. If reports of possible fraudulent activity have previously been submitted for that contact, the information will be available after moderator review.
The main purpose of CREW SAFETY is to help seafarers make safer employment decisions and reduce the risk of recruitment fraud. The service is not a blacklist and does not determine whether any person or company has committed fraud. Instead, it provides access to user-submitted reports of possible fraudulent activity associated with specific contact details.
If you receive a suspicious job offer, are asked to pay money for employment, receive a fake contract, forged certificates or encounter any other suspicious activity, you can submit a report through CREW SAFETY. Every report is reviewed by moderators before publication to help maintain accurate and reliable information for the maritime community.
Searches can be performed using a phone number, email address, Telegram account or other contact details commonly used during the maritime recruitment process. As the service grows, the database will continue to expand with verified reports submitted by seafarers from around the world.
CREW SAFETY was created to make finding a job at sea safer by giving seafarers the opportunity to check contacts in advance and helping the global maritime community work together to reduce recruitment fraud.
