On the morning of September 19, the cargo vessel Didim Fatsa (IMO: 8212336), 67 meters in length with a deadweight of 621 tons, experienced an accident in the Dardanelles Strait off the coast of Göcük Burnu, Turkey.
The ship was en route from Aliaga to Bandırma when its main engine failed. The crew requested assistance, and a KEGM tugboat was dispatched. The tug took Didim Fatsa under tow and escorted it to the Şevketiye anchorage, where it safely dropped anchor.
No injuries, damages, or environmental pollution were reported.
