Norwind Offshore doubles fleet with acquisition of six CSOV vessels from Edda Wind

Norwind Offshore has announced it has doubled its fleet following the acquisition of six Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOV) from Edda Wind, in partnership with Navigare Capital Partners.

The vessels are either recently delivered or in the final stages of delivery, ensuring they are equipped with latest-generation technology and operational capabilities.

Built to advanced Vard 4 25 and SALT 0217 designs, the vessels are specifically tailored to support the offshore wind industry and global renewable energy projects.

According to Norwind Offshore, the deal is not only about scale, but also about enhancing operational readiness and service capabilities in a rapidly growing market.

Following the transaction, Edda Wind will retain only one vessel, which is also expected to be transferred to a new owner after certain conditions are met, likely in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Earlier, Edda Wind agreed to sell its entire fleet of specialized vessels (SOV and CSOV), including those under construction, to investors North Star and Navigare Capital Partners.

These developments follow the company’s privatization in 2025 by an international investor consortium.
