Subsea 7 has been awarded a major contract by energy giant Equinor for the development of the Fram Sør project in the North Sea, off the coast of Norway. Under the agreement, Subsea 7 will provide engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) services for subsea infrastructure, including:
• approximately 53 km of pipelines (production, gas lift, and water injection lines),
• and umbilical systems for subsea control.
Project management and engineering activities have already begun at Subsea 7’s offices in Norway and the United Kingdom. Major offshore operations are scheduled for 2026–2028.
The contract is classified as “substantial”, meaning it is valued between $300 million and $500 million, according to Subsea 7’s internal classification system.
