Indonesian state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina has signed a four-year contract with a Chinese company to lease a jack-up drilling rig. The rig will be used to develop fields offshore Indonesia
The long-term contract will allow Pertamina to strengthen its offshore operations and continue to expand oil and gas production in the region. The deal also reflects growing interest in Chinese-made drilling rigs, which are becoming competitive in the drilling equipment rental market.
