On December 15, 2024, up to 5,000 tons of fuel oil entered the sea, which caused the death of hundreds of birds and dozens of dolphins. Ukraine called for strengthening the fight against the "shadow" fleet of the Russian Federation, pointing to the violation of the UNCLOS and MARPOL conventions.
🤝Australia, Canada, the EU, the USA, the UK, Japan and Norway supported Ukraine, emphasizing the responsibility of the Russian Federation. The pollution has already reached the coast of Crimea, Odessa region and is moving into the Sea of Azov.
