UAE-based NMDC Energy has secured three new offshore projects from Saudi Aramco with a combined value of AED 2.8 billion — approximately $763.3 million.
The company announced the awards on October 23, 2026, in an official disclosure to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
The contracts cover engineering, procurement and construction — EPC work for Saudi Aramco’s offshore facilities.
NMDC Energy expects the three projects to be completed within 18–23 months.
In its official announcement, the company did not disclose the names of the fields, the individual contract numbers or the value of each package.
However, industry sources have linked the awards to Saudi Aramco packages CRPO 167, CRPO 169 and CRPO 171.
According to MEED, CRPO 167 covers the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of eight offshore jackets at the Marjan oil field.
A jacket is a steel support structure installed on the seabed and used as the foundation for an offshore platform.
Package CRPO 169 is reportedly for the construction of three production deck modules — PDMs for the same Marjan field.
The third package, CRPO 171, is understood to cover three production deck modules for the Zuluf field.
The three projects form part of a broader group of five Saudi Aramco offshore tenders under packages CRPO 167–171.
Together, the five packages cover the construction of eight jacket structures and 13 production deck modules across several Saudi offshore oil and gas fields.
Industry reports indicate that the remaining packages, CRPO 168 and CRPO 170, were selected for award to Italy’s Saipem, although Saipem has not yet officially confirmed those contracts.
The latest awards continue a long-standing relationship between NMDC Energy and Saudi Aramco.
The companies operate under a Long-Term Agreement — LTA originally signed in 2016.
In April 2025, the agreement was extended for another three years, with an option for a further three-year extension.
The LTA covers detailed engineering, material procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation and pre-commissioning work for offshore facilities in Saudi waters.
NMDC Energy has also been expanding its own manufacturing capacity inside the kingdom.
In 2025, the company started production at a new fabrication yard in the Ras Al-Khair Special Economic Zone.
The facility covers approximately 400,000 square metres.
The yard is designed to fabricate offshore jackets, production deck modules, other offshore structures and large modular components for energy projects.
Its stated annual production capacity is around 40,000 tonnes of steel structures.
Having its own fabrication facility in Ras Al-Khair allows NMDC Energy to perform a larger share of project work directly in Saudi Arabia while supporting the kingdom’s industrial localisation programme.
The latest contracts also underline Saudi Aramco’s continued investment in the development of its offshore fields.
Major programmes remain underway at Marjan and Zuluf, two of the company’s key offshore assets in the Arabian Gulf.
The $763.3 million in new awards strengthens NMDC Energy’s position in Saudi Arabia’s offshore EPC market and provides the company with a significant additional workload for the next two years.
