On June 6, CMA CGM officially took delivery of the ultra-large container vessel CMA CGM Saint-Germain from Chinese shipbuilder Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding — six months earlier than planned.
Impressive vessel specifications:
• Length: 399 meters
• Beam: 61.3 meters
• Draft: 14.5 meters
• Capacity: 23,876 TEU, including 2,200 reefer containers
• Deadweight: 220,000 tons
• Fuel tank volume: 18,600 m³
• Range: up to 20,000 nautical miles
The vessel is equipped with membrane-type Mark III fuel tanks and advanced technologies such as an intelligent monitoring system, automated mooring precision control, enhanced operational performance, and energy efficiency.
CMA CGM Saint-Germain is the second ultra-large container ship built by Hudong-Zhonghua for CMA CGM — following the CMA CGM Seine, delivered earlier this year.
