Bourbon expands partnership with ExxonMobil in Angola

French offshore support vessel (OSV) operator Bourbon has strengthened its long-term relationship with ExxonMobil by signing a five-year contract to supply new crew transfer vessels in Angola.

Under the agreement, Bourbon Mobility will deliver specially designed 34-meter vessels to transport personnel between Soyo and Block 15, located about 80 miles offshore. These vessels will replace the existing 32-meter units, offering greater efficiency, comfort, and reliability.

Efficiency and features

  • Fuel consumption reduced by 10–15% compared to the current fleet

  • Service speed: up to 38 knots

  • Design by French naval architecture firm Mauric

“This contract reaffirms the strength of our partnership with ExxonMobil and the value of Bourbon Mobility’s tailored solutions,” said Nicolas Elizon, Director of Operations and Newbuilds at Bourbon Mobility.

The new vessels are scheduled to join ExxonMobil’s operations in Angola in 2027.

Bourbon’s growing order book

The ExxonMobil deal follows Bourbon’s recent success in Africa. In July, the company signed another five-year contract with Eni to deliver six S200X-G2 crew boats, which will support the Italian operator’s offshore activities in Congo starting mid-2026.
