On April 16, the bulk carrier Ceyo suffered a mechanical failure while at anchor off Tuzla in the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbul.

 

The incident triggered a response coordinated by the Izmit Vessel Traffic Services (VTS).

 

A tugboat was dispatched to assist the vessel and stabilize the situation.

 

Under VTS coordination, the vessel was successfully towed back to anchorage.

 

Authorities confirmed that no environmental pollution was reported.

 

Ceyo is a bulk carrier built in 2005, sailing under the flag of Tanzania, with a deadweight of 4,325 tons, a length of 96.8 meters, and a beam of 14 meters.
