In the early hours of April 7, a collision occurred between two fishing vessels in the Sea of Japan, about 1.5 km east of Tepo Port (South Korea).

 

⚓ One vessel, with a displacement of 3.55 tons, after the impact:

 

  • capsized

  • sank

 

🌊 Two crew members ended up in the water.

 

🚨 South Korean Coast Guard:

 

  • one crew member was rescued and hospitalized

  • the second was initially reported missing

 

🔍 Search operations continued overnight.

📍 On April 8, divers located the missing crew member approximately 1 km east of Tepo.

 

⚠️ No injuries were reported on the second vessel.

 

📌 Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
