On the evening of March 1, Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on the seaport of Odessa, the head of the Odessa OVA Oleg Kiper reported.
Two civilian port workers were injured in the attack - they are being provided with the necessary medical assistance.
Two civilian vessels were damaged by the strike:
🔹SUPER SARKAS under the flag of Sierra Leone, which was transporting more than 21 thousand tons of corn and soybeans for export;
🔹Container ship MSC LEVANTE F under the Panamanian flag, owned by the Swiss company MSC.
In addition to the vessels, port infrastructure facilities were also damaged. The Ministry of Infrastructure emphasized that the ships were transporting exclusively civilian cargo.
