On the morning of April 15, a fire broke out on the 19-meter fishing vessel BTh 95768 TS in the Gulf of Tonkin, approximately 2 km southwest of Phu Hai, Vietnam.
At the time of the incident, the vessel was anchored when the fire started onboard.
Authorities dispatched three vessels with more than 10 officers and personnel to respond to the emergency and assist in firefighting operations.
The fire was successfully extinguished within about one hour.
As a result, significant damage to onboard equipment and property was reported, although the full extent of the damage has not been disclosed.
The incident is currently under investigation.
