OMS Group expands its cable-laying fleet
OMS Group has announced plans to add two new cable-laying vessels to its fleet and launched a request for proposals (RFP) for their construction.
This is a continuation of the company's fleet modernization strategy, which began with an order from the Dutch shipyard Royal IHC. The first vessel in this series is expected in 2027.
OMS Group, backed by the American investment firm KKR, emphasizes that the expansion of the fleet is aimed at meeting the growing global demand for subsea digital infrastructure.
