Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd have started their fleet-sharing Gemini Cooperation on 1 February.
By June 2025, 340 container ships from both companies will gradually switch to the new schedule. The transition period will last until the end of May, and the vessels will be connected to the network in stages, as existing contracts with other carriers expire.
This is expected to increase schedule stability and ensure more than 90% reliability of voyages.
