Coastal shipping operator AtoB@C Shipping, a subsidiary of ESL Shipping, has added a new vessel, Ventumar, to its fleet. This is the eighth ship in the Green Coaster series, which includes 12 modern coastal vessels equipped with hybrid propulsion systems. The ships feature battery packs and the ability to connect to onshore power while in port, reducing emissions and improving environmental performance.
The ninth vessel in the series, Fleximar, was launched in early September and is scheduled for delivery to the owner at the end of 2025.
The order for the 12 Green Coaster vessels was placed by AtoB@C Shipping with the shipyard Chowgule & Company. According to the delivery schedule, the fleet will be expanded every three months, with all vessels handed over by autumn 2026.
