Looking for an experienced and hands-on Chief Engineer to join a 52m private new-build motor yacht. The yacht may occasionally be chartered, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
The yacht is currently under construction in Istanbul, Turkey. This is a non-rotational, permanent position, particularly suitable for a Chief Engineer already living in Europe — preferably Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro or Bulgaria — as the yacht will be permanently based in the Ionian or Ligurian Sea.
👤 Candidate profile:
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as Chief Engineer on 45–55m yachts
• Engineering certification III2 or Y2
• Caterpillar experience preferred
• Caterpillar certificationlicence is a strong advantage
• Strong technical and practical skills
• New-build warranty experience is an advantage
• Excellent English
• Positive, proactive and professional attitude
• Good team player with a friendly and approachable personality
• Willing to assist with deck and manoeuvring operations when required
• Good communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with the crew
