Two of the strongest chef roles we have taken on this year are open in Dubai right now — one travelling, one settled — and both families know exactly what they are looking for.

🛥️ ROLE ONE — PRIVATE CHEF, TRAVELLING HOUSEHOLD
Dubai base with extensive international travel, including long periods aboard a superyacht

💰 AED 25,000 – 40,000 per month, tax free, depending on experience
🏠 Your own separate flat in a prime Dubai location, not shared
🛂 UAE residency visa, medical insurance, daily food allowance
⏰ Rota alongside two other senior chefs — breakfast and lunch, or lunch and dinner
🗓️ One full day off per week
📅 Flexible start, and the trial may take place during a travel period

THE HOUSEHOLD
A small private family who live quietly and eat well. Health conscious, European in taste. No formal entertaining, no events, no late night service. They want outstanding food, consistently, wherever they happen to be that week — and they travel most weeks.

THE ROLE
Fresh, healthy, high quality meals prepared daily for the family. Menus designed and adapted around their health conscious, European style preferences. Sourcing premium, seasonal and organic produce across very different markets and countries. Full provisioning, stock control and kitchen management in the Dubai residence and on board. Highest hygiene and food safety standards ashore and at sea. Travelling with the family, including extended periods on the boat. Working professionally alongside an established senior kitchen team.

WHAT THE CLIENT WILL NOT FLEX ON
✔️ European trained
✔️ Superyacht experience at 60 metres and above — anything smaller will not be considered
✔️ Held Head Chef, or sole chef in full charge of the galley. Second or third chef alone is not enough
✔️ Experience with a family both on and off the boat, in a private household capacity
✔️ Valid STCW and ENG1, or willing to obtain both before joining
✔️ A stable CV with solid tenures — season hopping will not get through
✔️ Genuinely happy with weekly travel and significant time away from Dubai
✔️ Calm, discreet, low ego, easy alongside a team

Open to chefs currently in the UAE or in Europe and ready to relocate to Dubai.

🍽️ ROLE TWO — PRIVATE CHEF, PRIVATE FAMILY
Land based, prime Dubai, immediate start

💰 AED 20,000 – 35,000 per month, tax free, depending on experience
🛂 UAE residency visa, medical insurance, discretionary bonus
⏰ Mid morning start through to the evening meal
🗓️ Around six days per week, open to discussion for the right chef
📅 Immediate start — the family are back and the school term has begun

THE HOUSEHOLD
A private family in a professionally run home, with a House Manager on site and housekeeping staff, one of whom has completed a cooking course and helps finish breakfasts. They rarely entertain formally at home and eat out at weekends, so as chef roles go this is a civilised one. They have had a French chef and an Italian chef before. The one thing they do not want is drama.

THE ROLE
Lunch prepared daily and collected by the driver to take to the principal's office, with something lighter and healthy at the residence. An evening meal cooked for the family. Breakfast prepared the night before for housekeeping to finish in the morning. All menu planning, shopping, provisioning and expense reconciliation sit with you. The family enjoy all international cuisines, with one straightforward requirement in the house — lactose free — and nothing else to work around. Occasional travel with the family to their other residences internationally.

WHAT THE CLIENT WILL NOT FLEX ON
✔️ UAE or wider GCC experience, with your supplier and produce network already in place here
✔️ A career built in serious, well regarded restaurant kitchens — the kind of London, European or international restaurants people book weeks ahead for — and the technique that comes with it
✔️ Private household experience, ideally UHNW
✔️ Confident across international cuisines rather than tied to one repertoire
✔️ Full ownership of budgets, ordering and expense reconciliation
✔️ A stable CV with verifiable tenures
✔️ No big egos and no chefs fixed in their ways. This is not a demanding household and they want it kept that way
✔️ Discreet and comfortable inside a family home alongside a household team
