The suspected break in the C-Lion 1 cable connecting Finland and Germany occurred in Sweden's exclusive economic zone off the coast of Gotland.
It is not known exactly when the incident occurred, but authorities were made aware of it yesterday. The Swedish Prosecutor's Office has launched a preliminary investigation with the assistance of the Coast Guard.
