Subsea7, a provider of offshore engineering and subsea construction services, has been awarded an additional contract by Türkiye’s TP-OTC (Turkish Petroleum Offshore Technology Center) to support the Sakarya gas development in the Black Sea offshore Türkiye.
The award follows Subsea7’s announcement in August last year related to Phase 3 of the Sakarya project. Under the new scope, Subsea7 will tie back the newly discovered Göktepe field into Sakarya’s third-phase infrastructure.
The contract covers full EPCI (engineering, procurement, construction and installation) for approximately 20 km of flexible pipelines, around 120 km of subsea cables, a rigid production riser, and associated subsea equipment, with work to be executed in water depths of about 2,200 meters.
Project management and engineering will be coordinated from Subsea7’s Istanbul office. Offshore operations are scheduled for 2027 and 2028.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal was described as a major contract, typically implying a value in the $300–$500 million range.
“We are proud to continue supporting TP-OTC’s ambitions in the Black Sea through the Göktepe development, which will increase production from Sakarya Phase 3 facilities and help meet Türkiye’s gas needs,” said David Bertin, Subsea7’s Senior Vice President for the Global Projects Center East.
