On the night of 22 January, the 47-meter refrigerated fishing vessel Rasmus Effersoe (IMO: 8316883, about 350 tonnes displacement) allided with the quay while maneuvering in Golfo Nuevo off Puerto Madryn, Argentina.
The vessel was approaching the fishing berth when its bow made contact with a truck parked on the waterfront, lightly damaging the truck’s cab. The fishing vessel reportedly sustained only minor damage as well.
The incident is under investigation. No injuries or environmental pollution have been reported.
