Brazilian state-owned oil and gas company Petrobras has announced plans to acquire up to 11 specialized Walk-to-Work (W2W) vessels to service its offshore platforms. These vessels are designed to safely and efficiently transport personnel and equipment to offshore installations, enhancing installation and maintenance operations.
The procurement of W2W vessels is part of a broader initiative to modernize Petrobras’ offshore support fleet. Previously, the company signed contracts for the construction of 12 Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs).
These steps align with Petrobras’ strategic objective to increase oil production at the Búzios field to 2 million barrels per day by 2030.
