On the evening of March 29, the 86-meter high-speed catamaran ferry Tarifa Jet (IMO: 9150999) ran aground in the English Channel near St Helier, Jersey (UK).

 

The incident occurred while the vessel was attempting to berth in Elizabeth Harbour. During the maneuver, the stern of the ferry struck the quay, resulting in damage to the hull. Despite the impact, no injuries were reported among passengers or crew.

 

Following the collision, the ferry canceled its scheduled sailing to Saint-Malo (France). The vessel is expected to undergo inspection, while local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
