⚡️Karpowership, a Turkish owner and operator of floating power plants (Powerships), has contracted German engine manufacturer MAN Energy Solutions (MAN ES) to supply dual-fuel engines for its new vessels
MAN ES has been commissioned to supply a total of 24 18V51/60DF dual-fuel engines, each with a capacity of 20.7 MW
🔋 The total generating capacity of the project is approximately 500 MW
Karpowership's floating power plants are mainly used in various regions of Asia, South and Central America and Africa to provide power supply in areas where there is a shortage of energy, for example due to poor infrastructure or natural disasters
Karpowership's fleet currently consists of 40 floating power plants with a total capacity of over 7,500 MW.
