The Global Wind Workforce Outlook reports that more than 532,000 technicians will be needed, with more than 40% of these being new talent for the industry.
The need to attract an additional 212,000 new technicians over the next five years suggests there are plenty of opportunities for new talent to move from other sectors and support a fair and equitable transition from fossil fuels to energy.
There is an urgent need for faster growth in safety and technical training capabilities to cover anticipated gaps in the supply chain.
