MSC Cruises has cancelled the final three winter-season departures of MSC Euribia from Dubai after regional military authorities instructed the vessel to remain in port, the company said in an update published on its website.
“Our priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our guests and crew, and we continue to follow the instructions from regional military authorities to stay in the port of Dubai,” MSC Cruises stated.
The cancelled sailings were scheduled to depart Dubai on 14, 21 and 28 March, with planned calls at Doha and Abu Dhabi. Passengers are being offered a full refund through their original booking channel—either via travel agents or directly through MSC Cruises.
The operator said it is working with airlines following a partial resumption of regional air services to help guests return home. MSC Cruises noted that, due to significant passenger backlogs and the scale of disruptions, carriers are adding extra flights gradually and the process will take time.
MSC Cruises is also coordinating with embassies and foreign ministries regarding passengers of different nationalities currently on board. The company added that the situation on board remains calm, with guests retaining full access to onboard services and facilities while the crew continues to provide support and care.
MSC Cruises did not specify when MSC Euribia may be able to resume cruises from the region.
