MacGregor has been selected to supply cargo access solutions for nine new RoPax vessels as part of Grimaldi Group’s large-scale fleet renewal programme.
The order covers cargo access equipment for:

three Finnlines vessels,

four Grimaldi Euromed vessels, and
-
two Minoan Lines vessels.
All ships will be built at China Merchants Industry Weihai Shipyard Co., Ltd. (CMHI Weihai). The contract was booked in MacGregor’s order intake for Q3 2025.
MacGregor says the deal reflects close cooperation with all stakeholders to ensure the delivery of solutions tailored to the specific vessel designs and customer requirements.
The order includes two different RoPax designs:

Three Finnlines RoPax vessels with 5,400 lane metres and capacity for 1,000 passengers, intended for operations in the Baltic Sea.

Six RoPax vessels (four for Grimaldi Euromed and two for Minoan Lines) with 3,300 lane metres and capacity for 2,500 passengers, designed for routes in the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas.
