Dong Fang Offshore (DFO), a leading offshore vessel operator from Taiwan, has partnered with Australia’s GO Offshore to collaborate on offshore wind and oil & gas projects across the Asia-Pacific region.
The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining cooperation in three key areas:
-
joint vessel deployment,
-
technical collaboration,
-
and co-development of future offshore projects.

Joint Operations and Technical Collaboration
Under the agreement, DFO will provide its construction and support vessels to GO Offshore for projects in Australia, combining DFO’s offshore expertise with GO’s established regional presence.
The partnership will also include technical knowledge exchange on offshore wind farm operations and design of new service vessels (SOVs) tailored to the Australian market.

Regional Expansion and Global Reach
The collaboration opens opportunities for joint project tenders outside Australia, including Taiwan and other Asia-Pacific offshore markets.
“This partnership opens new opportunities not only in Australia but across the region and globally.
By combining GO’s local strengths with our offshore wind expertise and fleet, we can effectively support both renewable and traditional energy industries,”
said Pauline Chen, CEO of Dong Fang Offshore.

Industry Perspective
GO Offshore’s Managing Director Garrick Stanley highlighted that the partnership reflects the growing convergence between traditional and renewable energy sectors:
“Australia’s offshore oil and gas sector remains vital, but the potential for offshore wind development in southern Australia is immense.
This collaboration combines our local market experience with DFO’s international capabilities to serve both sectors safely and efficiently.”
