Norwegian subsea services company DeepOcean has secured a new long-term framework contract with operator Vår Energi for inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) work.
The agreement runs for five years, through the end of October 2030, and includes options to extend for a further four years.
Under the contract, DeepOcean will carry out subsea activities across Vår Energi’s assets on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The scope covers IMR operations as well as support for offshore modification, installation and commissioning projects, and drilling-related campaigns. DeepOcean will also provide associated project management and engineering services.
To deliver the work, the company plans to deploy a range of technologies, including uncrewed remotely operated vessels and onshore remote operations centres.
DeepOcean and Vår Energi have partnered on subsea operations for more than a decade, and the new deal formalises the continuation of this long-standing collaboration.
