My name is Denys Raikov, and I am writing to express my strong interest in the Ordinary
Seaman position at your company.
During my two years at sea, I gained valuable experience working in the challenging conditions
of the North Sea, Norwegian Sea and Atlantic Ocean. My routes covered Northern Europe,
including Netherlands and Denmark; Norway, England, Faroe Islands and Iceland. My main
experience has been on Multipurpose Cargo Ships, where I have handled the loading,
discharging and securing non-standard cargoes requiring high precision and responsibility.
I have perfomed navigational, anchor and gangway watches, successfully coping with tasks in
harsh climates. Working in winter, especially in the North Sea and Norwegian Sea, was
associated with extreme weather conditions: strong storms, low temperatures and limited
visibility, which required increased vigilance and professionalism. This experience strengthened
my skills to work in stressful situations and taught me how interact effectively with the team in
all circumstances.
I am currently in the process of obtaining Ordinary Seaman diploma. Previously, I have worked
in company where it was not required, but now I have decided to move on.
I am ready to take on a position starting end of October, 2025, to April, 2025 due to exams in
Maritime Academy.
Also, I have a valid medical license until April 17, 2026.
